lecture nine.

Lecture nine.
During today's lecture, we discussed about information system crimes, security and control methods.
Then, during the seminar, we shared the blog with our seminar's leader and, afterwards, we received all the information in regard to our assignment work. Finally, we uploaded the video on youtube.

Lecture eight

During today's lecture, our Management and Information System module leader (Haider Bilal) talked about databases, presenting what they are and how to efficiently use them.
Then, he talked about how to organize a database, and about the relationships between different fields and tables.
Later on in the seminar, we talked about how to properly build a database on excel and how to structure every field of it. Afterwards, we have been split in groups and, within my group, we rehearsed for the presentation.

Lecture seven.

During today's lecture our Management and Information System module leader (Haider Bilal) talked about Enhancing Business Intelligence Using ISs.
We discussed what is data and how organizations can benefit by gathering and managing big data. For example, Tesco used Club-card to give customers offers related to their previous purchases.
Then, he explained how decision support system is structured.

Lecture six.

During today's lecture, we discussed Organizational Effectiveness using enterprise ISs.
In summary, this concepts relates to how effective businesses achieve their targets and goals. Then, during the seminar we worked in groups on our module task related to the real business case "Bizzie Bodies". At the end of the seminar we was able to plan a meeting between team members and to start focusing about the power point presentation.

Lecture five.

During today's lecture our Management and Information System module leader (Haider Bilal) talked about Managers, Leaders and Followers.
Then, he defined some theories and presented the differences between the roles of managers and leaders. He also listed some tasks that are similar for both the aforementioned roles, such as those involving deciding what is needed to be done (setting goals), and how to get the job done by delegating to other people.

Lecture four.

In today's lecture our Management and Information System module's leader (Haider Bilal) talked about two topics. First, we concluded the previous week's topic, which was "Managing IS Infrastructure & services".
Then, we went through the "Digital Business" concept and we realized how this is affecting our world, as it became so popular and also part of our routine.
Also, by analyzing all the different factors related to it, we identified the benefits and downsides of this "new" market place.
In my opinion, this was one of the most interesting lectures, as I learnt a lot more about how the internet works.

Lecture three.
During today's lecture we had two guests. The first one talked about plagiarism and the different sanctions one might incur when accused of that.
 The second guest was a LSBU postgraduate woman who became an entrepreneur about two years ago. She explained us all the difficulties related to running a business. Yet, she showed us her proudness and happiness of running a successful business.
Afterwards, our module leader, Haider Zuhair Bilal, introduced us the new topic of Managing IS, infrastructure and Services. Specifically, he talked about computer networking and how computers use different codes to work.
